Pawtucket Swears in New Rescue Lieutenants

PAWTUCKET- Mayor Donald R. Grebien was joined by Acting Public Safety Director and Police Chief Tina Goncalves, Fire Chief William Sisson, and Pawtucket Fire Department friends and family outside at the Veterans Amphitheatre to officially swear in ten firefighters to their new role as Rescue Lieutenant within the Pawtucket Fire Department.
The ceremony included remarks from the Mayor and Chief Sisson followed by honoring the promotion of Eric S. Gonsalves who was promoted from Firefighter to Lieutenant on January 16th, 2021 and Kevin P. Keenan who was promoted from Firefighter to Lieutenant on February 4th, 2021 both via Zoom.

“Today marks an important point in our department’s history with so many new Rescue Lieutenants along with our first female officer,” said Chief William Sisson. “We could not be prouder of everyone.”
“I want to thank each of the individuals promoted today for their continued service to our community and want to wish them all the best and great success with their new roles in the Pawtucket Fire Department,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien.
