Books are Back at Weaver Library Farmers Market
A pop-up book sale will again be featured at the Weaver Library Farmers Market this year.
Members of the Friends of the East Providence Public Library will offer a mini book sale each week at the market which is scheduled for Thursday afternoons from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for twelve weeks, from June 24 to September 9.
Due to Covid-19 guidelines, the volunteer group has been unable to host their semi-annual community book sales that were scheduled for April and October 2020 and April 2021.
This summer-long outdoor event will allow the Friends to provide a variety of book selections for all ages and interests.
Hard and soft cover books will be available for $1 and children’s and young adult books will be $.50 each.
All children are welcome to choose a free soft cover book to take home.
Adults can take home a complimentary soft cover cookbook to try out new recipes with Farmers Market fresh produce and other offerings.
Proceeds from the book sale benefit library programs, including museum passes, special concerts and events.
