A CREATIVE SUMMER FOR CREATIVE KIDS
Our motto is All the Arts for All of Us, which includes KIDS! And we aim to help kids develop and explore ALL the different ways they can be creative, from painting to pottery and everything in between. So we offer great classes and workshops that make learning fun … plus a chance to explore five galleries (including the Vault, always a favorite with kids), five artist studios, a recording studio, and more! Explore Art! 2D Kids Cape Cod Summer with Lenore Lyons
Tuesday-Thursday, August 10, 11, 12 from 9:30am-noon
Kids ages 7-12 years old
Plan to wear an artist’s smock and get your brushes, brayers and hands into markers, inks, paints and glues. We will have fun drawing and painting animals, plants and landscapes of Cape Cod as we experiment with familiar and new art supplies. We’ll play with words and a variety of ways to add lettering for big and small messages. Everyone will keep a record of their projects so they can recreate the activities at home. Art students will compile their work into a spiral-bound art journal; there will be extra pages to continue on their own. Taught by a very experienced teacher, the students will have a time socializing with other kids paired with fun and challenging art activities. Materials needed for this class are provided and included in the class price.
