The work party scheduled for May 29, was cancelled due to the forecast of heavy rain.
A rescheduled work party will be held on Wednesday, June 2, at the Richardson Nature Preserve from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Details below.
In keeping with current guidelines, we will follow these COVID-19 precautions:
— Everyone must wear a mask if closer than 6 feet to a non-household member.
— Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please bring your own:
— face mask
— work gloves
— water
You do not need to reply, but it helps to know how many people to expect.

WORK PARTY – WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2
Location: Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve
577B Wilmarth Street
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Some of the tasks below have been started but not completed:
–Priming and painting the exterior of the Barrows House where the paint is peeling.
–Picking up fallen branches on the lawn areas.
–Weeding and mulching around the peonies and other perennials in Deborah’s Garden.
–Removing some invasive plants and shrubs.
Tools needed will include:
–Ladders
–Shovels, pick axes
–Tarps
–Loppers, pruning shears, pruning saws, and other pruning tools
–Garden weeding tools
We will have some tools, but bring what you have.
Dress accordingly for painting or for protection from briers and poison ivy.
