PAWTUCKET PARKS & RECREATION SUMMER YOUTH TENNIS CAMP PROGRAM ANNOUNCED
Online registrations will start on Monday, May 24 for the annual Slater Park Youth Tennis Camp, sponsored by the Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division. For those without computer access, an in-person registration will take place at the Slater Park Office on Saturday, June 19 from 9 am – 11 pm.
The camp is open to Pawtucket residents and non-residents and runs from Monday, June 28 through Wednesday, August 11 at the Mike Kenney Tennis Courts located in Slater Memorial Park, in close proximity to the Armistice Boulevard entrance.
There are one hour instructional level lessons for ages 5 through ages 18 years old which take place at various times on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Advanced lessons are available for those ages 10 to 18 years old on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for an hour and a half. All participants are instructed to arrive prior to class times to participate in the COVID screening protocol.
Information regarding program specifics and online registration are available through the City of Pawtucket website, pawtucketri.com under the Parks and Recreation “Department” tab and Youth Tennis icon, at the Slater Park Office or on the Slater Park Tennis Facebook page. This will also outline the requirements and daily protocol to attend camp this year relating to the COVID-19 pandemic and will change in accordance with updated regulations from the RI Department of Health and RI Department of Environmental Management.
