Mysterious Massachusetts – presented by Panels by Geekgal
Thursday, October 29, 7 to 8 pm via Zoom
Join us for a free online presentation by Sarah Hodge-Wetherbe, also known as “Panels by Geekgal.”
Every state has its ghost stories, but no other state has the Dover Demon or the Salem Witch Trials. From sea-side ghosts, to UFOs over the Berkshires, Massachusetts has a rich history of paranormal legend, odd events, and strange denizens.
In this workshop, we have a look at some of the most famous of Massachusetts paranormal, cryptozoological, and plain weird incidents throughout the state’s history.
Our speaker, Sarah Hodge-Wetherbe, is a library associate with the Springfield city library. Before this year’s COVID travel restrictions, she had been touring around New England lecturing on various aspects of pop culture for over 10 years.
Sarah’s recent informative presentation on Anime in Mythology, offered as part of our NEA Big Read: Attleboro’s celebration of Circe by Madeline Miller, is available for viewing as a recording at our attleboros1abc.org website.
Please visit the Attleboro Public Library website at attleborolibrary.org to register for this free lecture. Once at the website, select Events and click on the event date or call the library at 508-222-0157 and a staff member will assist you. All registrants will receive the Zoom webinar link approximately 4 hours before the program start time. Since it is a webinar, attendees are not required to have a camera or microphone to participate.
