Museum of Work & Culture to Host Latest Exhibit by Artist Zach Horn
(WOONSOCKET, R.I.) – The Museum of Work & Culture will host a virtual gallery talk with artist Zach Horn on Wednesday, October 21 at 7pm, as part of United We Bargain, Divided We Beg, a 10-week exhibition featuring Horn’s paintings and sculptures of real union members.
Horn’s talk will feature insights into the inspiration for his work, creative process, and the personal connections that drive his use of art to support organized labor and boost workers rights. The public may register for the talk by emailing mowc@rihs.org
Horn’s exhibit will be displayed in the Museum’s changing gallery through December 19 and features pieces which utilize industrial supplies as a medium to further symbolize the deep connection between identity, labor, and issues of value.
Horn received his BA from the University of Pennsylvania and his MFA from Boston University. He has exhibited in multiple museum exhibitions, such as the American Labor Museum, UMaine Museum of Art, and the Commonwealth Museum.
He is a lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston and Boston University, as well as a contributing critic to Collect Magazine, Big, Red & Shiny, and Art Practical.
