LINE DANCING – BODY FIT – YOGA

Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division Announce a Six Week Recreation/Wellness Class Session

The Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division has announced their lineup of adult recreational/wellness classes to be held at the Agnes Little School for a six week session with limited class capacity, starting at the end of October. 

 

Registrations begin Wednesday, October 7. 

 

Class cancellations due to holidays and/or inclement weather will be made up at the end of the session.

Total Body Fit has two individual classes that take place at 6 pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Agnes Little School, beginning on October 27.   The overall cost for the 6 week session (Tuesday or Thursday) is $20 for Pawtucket residents and $25 for non-residents.  

Line Dancing and Step Aerobics will take place on Wednesday nights at 6 pm, starting October 28 with a cost of $20 for Pawtucket residents and $25 for non-residents for the entire 6 week course. It is important to note that Line Dancing will be taking place at Agnes Little, while Step Aerobics will take place at the Slater Park Pavilion.  Space is limited for the Step class.

Adult Yoga (level 2) will take place at the Agnes Little School, starting at 7:15 pm on Thursday, October 29 and will continue for 6 weeks.  The overall cost for this six week class offering is $30 for Pawtucket residents and $40 for non-residents. 

Hi-Low Aerobics and Yoga (Level 1 introduction) will begin on Monday, November 9. These classes will also take place at the Agnes Little School with Hi-Low starting at 6 pm and Yoga starting at 7:15 pm.  The overall cost for the Hi-Low Aerobics six (6) week session is $20 for Pawtucket residents and $25 for non-residents. The cost for the Yoga 1 course is $30 for Pawtucket residents and $40 for non-residents. 

Children’s classes are not being held at this time due to the current pandemic.

Registrations may be done online by accessing the Parks & Recreation “Department’s tab” through the City of Pawtucket’s website, www.pawtucketri.com and click the box that says “Click Here for On-line Registrations”. 

 

New members will click the “Create New Account” option while returning Parks & Recreation patrons will click “Log In”, providing an account has already been created. 

 

Use the “Programs” tab to review the class description, dates, cost, as well as register for the class. 

 

Credit or debit card payment will be requested to fulfill the registration process.

Registrations may also be completed at the Slater Park Office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, starting on Wednesday, October 7.

All classes will follow the required protocols set forth by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Students are required to have a face covering available which is to be worn before & after class time.

 

All students should arrive to class earlier in order to receive a screening which will include a temperature check prior to starting each class. 

 

Face coverings are not necessary during class. 

 

Students are also asked to bring hand sanitizer and are required to ensure that individual water bottles be clearly labeled with the student’s name.
