FSRI HONORS DR. NICOLE ALEXANDER-SCOTT

FSRI to Honor Rhode Island Health Director at Annual Brighter Futures Event

NICOLE ALEXANDER SCOTT

Rhode Island Health Director, Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott, and our state’s first responders will be honored at an award ceremony at noon on November 10th by Family Service of Rhode Island. This award is in recognition of their heroic efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic in Rhode Island and save countless lives. The ceremony, hosted by Family Service of Rhode Island, will be emceed by Trinity Repertory’s Joe Wilson Jr., in advance of his debut in a virtual Christmas Carol this Fall.

“The commitment Dr. Alexander-Scott has shown to the well-being of all Rhode Islanders, particularly during this unprecedented time, is just incredible,” Family Service of Rhode Island’s Board Chair John Simmons said. “We are so fortunate to have her leadership and expertise hard at work for our state.”

“I’m so grateful to our first responders working tirelessly on the front lines of the pandemic, especially Dr. Alexander-Scott,” said FSRI’s CEO Margaret Holland McDuff  “They have truly gone above and beyond in their service to the community.”

All proceeds from this event support Family Service of RI’s efforts to combat COVID through initiatives like Be Safe RI, which has helped provide more than 25,000 Rhode Islanders since March 2020 with masks, cleaning supplies, and food.
