ONCE A BEAR ALWAYS A BEAR
Today, more and more college athletes are having to fundraise to pay for their own practice gear, equipment, and travel. Without the proper equipment, gear, and travel plans our student-athletes would not be able to train at the highest level possible or enjoy the true BEAR experience.
In addition, our student-athletes fundraise in order to fund their regional, national, or even international trips. And these trips are not an ‘extra’; they are an essential part of being a BEAR. Even though there is no travel or competition at the moment, we are hopeful that in the Spring it will be safe to do so…and our student-athletes will be ready because of YOU!
At Bridgewater State Athletics, we have suffered severe budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic and your help is now more vital than ever before!
That is why we are spreading the news about the SIXTH ANNUAL CRIMSON PRIDE CHALLENGE. You are invited to participate by making a gift to the team of your choice at BSU during the 3-week challenge (Monday October 19 – Monday November 9).
The team or club that raises the highest per-student totals will receive a monetary reward to help cover some of the costs that burden our student-athletes every semester. Now is your chance to help your team win!
Our student-athletes may not be competing for championships right now due to the global pandemic, but they are safely studying & practicing harder than ever. We need you so that when they can safely compete again, they are ready to SUCCEED!
This years’ goal will be to bring in 1,000 donors! We understand that this is an extremely trying time for many, but we hope that you will consider participating and showing your support during this unprecedented year for our student-athletes.
A gift of just $10 could provide a student-athlete with two practice t-shirts for the year, and a gift of $100 could provide a student-athlete with all the practice gear they may need for the entire year.
No gift is too small, and if giving is not possible this year you can still help us by spreading the word.
Beginning on Monday October 19th, you will have the opportunity to help your favorite BEARS team take home the title of Crimson Pride Challenge CHAMPIONS. Stay tuned for giving information…
Stay Safe,
