Good Morning,
Where is the Bucklin Brook
Friends of the Ten Mile and Bucklin Brook will be leading Where is Bucklin Brook? in the month of September.
We are offering three short walks that will detail the course, history, and possible future of Bucklin Brook, Pawtucket’s lost waterway.
Please note that you MUST register because of Covid restrictions.
Space is limited.
The first walk will take place this coming Saturday, September 12th at 8:00 AM. We will explore the upper course of the brook. Meet at Oak Grove Cemetery on Central Avenue in Pawtucket.
The second walk will be Saturday, September 19th at 8:00 AM. We will explore the middle course of the brook. Meet at McCoy Stadium by the walking track on Division Street in Pawtucket.
The third and final walk will be Saturday, September 26th at 8:00 AM. We will explore the lower course of the brook and its outfall into Narragansett Bay. Meet at the Hank Soard Softball Field on Prospect Street in Pawtucket.
Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water. I look forward to seeing some of you on these walks. Again, please register for this so we can keep count. Masks are required. Thank you!
