WORK PARTY SEPTEMBER 5, 2020
Saturday, September 5, the Attleboro Land Trust will have a work party at the Joseph and Margaret O’Donnell Nature Preserve on Bishop Street. Help is needed to clear brush and fallen branches along a trail that is under development. Future plans include the formal opening of the preserve and completion of an interconnecting trail between the O’Donnell Preserve and the Colman Reservation on Steere Street.
We will meet at the Finberg Field parking lot on Bishop Street.
As in previous work parties, we will follow these COVID-19 precautions:
— If you can help, please let us know in advance. We will limit the MAXIMUM size of the crew to 10 people.
— Everyone on the crew must agree to wear a MASK.
— Everyone on the crew must agree to maintain a 6-FOOT DISTANCE from each other.
— These are precautions that naturally require teamwork and mutual respect among everyone on the crew. We hope you agree.
Bring your own:
— face mask (required)
— work gloves
— water
— insect repellent (important due to West Nile Virus being detected in mosquitoes locally)
— sunscreen, if desired
Socks and long pants are recommended as we will be cutting through briers with sharp thorns.
Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on our website
