Reminder of Land Trust Work Party on June 18
Thanks to everyone who helped with Saturday’s work party.
Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve
This is a reminder of the work party this week on Thursday. If you are planning to attend either, please confirm by email, if you haven’t already done so.
Also, if you would like to help out at another time, please let me know and we will arrange something that fits your schedule and interests.
For all work parties, we will follow these COVID-19 precautions:
— If you can help, please let us know in advance. We will limit the MAXIMUM size of the crew to 10 people.
— Everyone on the crew must agree to wear a MASK.
— Everyone on the crew must agree to maintain a 6-FOOT DISTANCE from each other.
— These are precautions that naturally require teamwork and mutual respect among everyone on the crew. We hope you agree.
Bring your own:
— face mask (required)
— work gloves
— water
— insect repellent
— sunscreen, if desired
Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on our website attleborolandtrust.org
WORK PARTY – THURSDAY JUNE 18
Location: Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve, 577B Wilmarth Street
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Tasks:
— Cutting up fallen trees with chain saw
— Clearing brush along property boundary
— Sweeping leaves off boardwalks
— Raking lawns in the Glen and around the Barrows House
— Weeding and mulching the perennials in Deborah’s Garden
Tools needed will include:
–Chain saws
–Loppers, pruning saws, and other pruning tools
–Tarps to bundle and move brush
–Street brooms
–Leaf rakes
–Gardening tools
We will have some tools, but bring what you have.
