Hi,
These days, as I speak to many Rhode Islanders on the phone, I am struck by how much we miss being connected – to our family, to our friends, to our colleagues. The COVID-19 public health crisis has made it challenging because the solution right now is to be physically distant from each other. So, on this April 1st I thought I would share two ways to be part of things that unite us: Census 2020 and United Way.
By now, you should have received in the mail a few letters from the US Census Bureau asking you to respond to a handful of questions. Please do not delay – do it tonight!!! (It takes less than 10 minutes.) If you would like to check up on the process or can’t find the letter and just want to get it done call – 844-330-2020 or visit https://2020census.gov/.
If you are able, contribute to nonprofits in these very challenging times. Theirs is an effort to help our hardest hit Rhode Islanders and their families. It gives us the opportunity to leverage our own individual contributions.
That’s it for tonight. I’ll be back with other news at a later date. Till then, stay safe and healthy.
Warmly,
Nellie
