Our State, Our Home, Our Voices
Mike Stenhouse has asked me to reach out to you in the hope that every woman in your various circles might decide to join our new women’s movement. It’s just $10 per year!
Women have more than proven that we can be as successful as men. We are thriving in the business world, in society, and at home. All without the insulting handouts that progressive women’s groups are continually begging for, we do not view ourselves as victims that need special protections.
For example, I am a single mother of two young children, living in Providence. I work hard to make a better life for my family. But, just because of my gender, I am supposed to support the welfare policies and identity-politics advanced by self-proclaimed pro-women’s groups such as the Democratic Women’s Caucus and Working Families Rhode Island.
I am here to tell you that these women do not speak for me. Nor do I believe that they speak for the majority of women in our state, who, like me, want to earn independent and successful lives on our own. Like everyone else, if we are down, we hope there will be public programs to help us get back up – but this must not become a way of life!
This is why I have joined, for just $10 a year, the new women’s movement, RI Women for Freedom & Prosperity , and I am proud to serve on its executive committee. As we grow our movement, I believe we will speak for the silent majority of women who are tired of seeing our loved family, friends, and colleagues continually forced to flee our state because of bad public policies.
