Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium Closed in Response to COVID-19
All Audubon Facilities are Closed Through March 31, 2020
March Nature Walks and Programs are Cancelled
CEDAR WAXWING
In support of efforts to stem the outbreak of COVID-19, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island is temporarily closing the Nature Center and Aquarium in Bristol, RI to the public. All Audubon programs, classes, and events are also cancelled. We are looking to reopen on March 31, 2020 but will be making decisions based on guidelines from the Rhode Island Department of Health.
For those who have signed up for a program that has been cancelled, Audubon will refund registration fees. But individuals may also make the choice to convert your fee into a donation. This would help us to weather the economic fallout of the virus.
In this time of uncertainty, walks in nature can provide a much needed source of stress relief. Audubon encourages the public to use the outdoor trails at the Nature Center and Aquarium, as well as trails on all of Audubon’s other public wildlife refuges across the state. For a listing of wildlife refuges and trail maps, visit www.asri.org/hike.
We believe a temporary closure of the Nature Center and Aquarium and other facilities at this time is the best preventative action to take in order to help keep our members, community, and staff safe.
We look forward to welcoming you back when the Nature Center and Aquarium reopens.
Updates will be posted on www.asri.org
