You’re invited!
We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable members of the community that want to be a part of our new input and work groups for 2020.
What is a community input and work group?
The new community input and work groups are an opportunity for the arts festival to learn and grow from the people that know us best, you, our friends and neighbors. It’s also an opportunity for you to give back to your city by helping ensure we continue to put on one of the best arts festivals around.
What types of groups are there?
We are happy to announce the creation of groups in four areas.
Our first group is called “Neighbors”, which will focus on culture and community. The goal of “Neighbors” is to bring forth ideas representative of the many cultures and communities of Pawtucket that will enrich the arts festival in a way that makes it truly representative of the city.
Our second group is called “Creators”, which will focus on arts programming.
The goal of “Creators” is to advise in the realm of the many arts disciplines and effectuate programming that will both educate and enrich the greater community.
Our third group is called “Helping Hands”, which will focus on volunteers and logistics. The goal of “Helping Hands” will be to advise and support the arts festival in the areas of people and planning; ensuring well staffed and fluid events.
Our fourth and final group is called “ Friends”, which will focus on fundraising. The goal of “Friends” is to foster the growth and further the mission of the arts festival through broad and diligent fundraising action.
What would the time commitment be for group members?
There is no minimum or maximum time commitment for group members. We’re very appreciative of everyone that volunteers their time, knowledge and opinions to the festival, and we want this to be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.
How many people are you looking for to be members of the groups?
There will be a maximum of five members per group, and group members would be limited to one group at a time. So we’re looking for 20 people for 2020.
This sounds great! How do I apply?
Simply email us at info@pawtucketartsfestival.org and in the subject line list “Work Group” and in the body of the email please list the group or groups you are interested in along with a very brief description of yourself and why you want to get involved.
