The Aphasia Clefs to sing at the Weaver Library
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Weaver Library and Hands in Harmony invite you to a performance of the Aphasia Clefs Choir on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 7 pm in the Champlin Program Room of the library.
As stroke survivors, most of the Aphasia Clefs members struggle with speech, but they love to sing, and they can sing!
Working with licensed, board-certified neurologic music therapists from Hands in Harmony, the choir members meet, take singing lessons, perform, and also accomplish non-music goals, including improving breath support, speech, and reading, while increasing social engagement and building community.
Come enjoy a unique musical performance and learn about the effectiveness of music therapy from Hands in Harmony staff.
Hands in Harmony, located in Kingston, RI, provides neurologic music therapy services to a wide variety of populations throughout RI and Southeastern MA and in a multitude of different settings including: Early Intervention, School-based, Home-based, Hospitals, Rehabilitation centers, Long-term care facilities, Behavioral Healthcare facilities, and Hospice.
