TIVERTON RE-TREE WINNER

Tiverton Senior Center First  Place Winner

The Four Corners Arts Center hosted its sixth Annual Re-Tree Event Sunday December 15 th 2019, 4-6 pm on the grounds of the Meeting House.

This annual event generously sponsored by Coastal Roasters called for families, businesses and artists alike to create a tree 5 to 9 feet tall using at least 90% recycled materials with a lighting component.

Four trees were made using materials ranging from decorated milk cartons, dryer vents, fan blades, portable commodes, wooden canes, chicken wire and an extensive CD music collection.

The tree lighting event took place with warm refreshments and cookies. Guests strolled the grounds of the Meeting House admiring the work and creativity of each individual tree.

The jurors included Innovative Construction , a Tiverton based general contracting company, Laura Vaillancourt , a local photographer and Jennifer Sunderland , a member of Four Corners Arts Center Board of Directors judged the trees based on use of recycled materials, lighting component, and overall aesthetic & construction.

The Tiverton Senior Center’s tree took first place while the Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA) won honorable mention.

Special thanks to the Cub Scouts Pack 10 , and Jocelyn G. Schaffer . The trees will be on display until December 29 th .

We’d like to extend a warm THANK YOU to all our participants! We are looking forward to our 7th Annual Re-Tree Event in December 2020!

We hope that you will join the fun!
