The 2020 Bilingual Lusophone Art Calendar
The 13 winners of the 2019 Lusophone Art Calendar contest were recognized on June 7, 2019 at the opening ceremony of the 2019 Rhode Island Day of Portugal Official Celebration at the Rhode Island State House.
The Bilingual Lusophone Art Calendar contest is an annual activity of the IPLWS for the celebration of Day of Portugal and Portuguese Communities in Rhode Island, engaging teachers and students of Portuguese in Rhode Island’s public, private, charter and community schools in levels K-12.
We wish to thank all who volunteer and contribute each year to the Bilingual Lusophone Art Calendar contest, now in its 16th edition:
- The Community Advisory Board of the IPLWS selected the themes and judged the entries.
- Community sponsors of the 2020 Calendar are featured in each month.
- The Rhode Island College Office of College Communications and Marketing designed the Calendar.
- IPLWS RIC student interns worked on every aspect of this project: Bruna Carvalho (Early Childhood Education major/Portuguese minor), Joshua Abreu (World Languages Education-Portuguese concentration/Spanish minor), Kassandra do Rosário (Justice Studies major/Portuguese minor).
- All 433 K-12 Portuguese teachers and students who submitted their artwork in 2019!
Muito obrigada e muitos parabéns!
