A VERY MERRY MARKETPLACE AWAITS AT HOPE & MAIN
“MEET YOUR MAKER” OFFERS A TRUE TASTE OF RHODE ISLAND FOR THE HOLIDAYS
WARREN, RI — Rhode Island’s flagship food incubator, HOPE & MAIN, is preparing a very merry holiday market made of the stuff Epicureans dream about.
The nonprofit’s signature “Meet Your Maker” market offers well-made, small batch specialty foods, homestyle and made to order meals, hot drinks, trendy products, and great gifts for even most persnickety people on your list. Market-goers will meet twenty-seven different vendors offering hundreds of delicious choices on Sunday, December 22 from 10 am-2 pm.
When it comes to sourcing the latest and greatest in local food and drinks, this event is always a sure thing. Beyond the tasting and shopping, a live mochi-making demonstration by artisan Chinese food maker Sinobox will be happening throughout the day along with live music by Fay Bullard and an ornament-making station featuring local alpaca wool. Wrap up the day with a custom-wrapped gift and enter to win door prizes like holiday gift baskets, cooking classes, and more.
HOPE & MAIN’s mission aims to connect consumers with local food makers, growers and educators to support economic growth. Tours of the facility are available by request, allowing market-goers to see these relationships in action, meet the makers themselves, and learn what it takes to make a Rhode Island-based culinary business strong and sustainable.
Meet Your Maker is held at HOPE & MAIN, 691 Main Street, Warren RI, 02885. Free municipal parking is available in the lot across HOPE & MAIN on Franklin Street. RIPTA passengers take bus #60 for a direct stop. More Meet Your Maker markets are scheduled, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following upcoming Sundays: January 19, February 16, March 15, April 19, & May 17.

GET IN THE HOLIDAY ‘SPIRITS’ SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15 MEET YOUR MAKER TO POP-UP AT SONS OF LIBERTY
South County shoppers who may miss the December 22 Meet Your Maker at the Warren-based incubator’s headquarters take note — a small-but-mighty lineup of makers will be at 1425 Kingstown Rd, South Kingstown for an event co-hosted by Sons of Liberty Spirits Co.
Seventeen HOPE & MAIN makers will be sampling and selling their wares from 1-4pm, featuring everything from freshly pressed liege waffles to rolled-to-order fresh spring rolls, to whiskey-barrel aged hot sauce and chili-infused chocolate bars, and of course gifts galore. The event is family-friendly, offering a warm, casual environment for slowly sipping whiskey, enjoying good food and having great conversations.
