FARM FRESH RI’s WINTER FARMERS MARKET KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 2, 2019 WITH TWO THANKSGIVING RAFFLES

Pawtucket, RI —The Farm Fresh RI Winter Farmers Market in Pawtucket is opening for its 13th season on November 2, 2019. The largest indoor market of its kind in New England, it will be open 9am to 1pm every Saturday through April 25, 2020.

 

Farm Fresh Rhode Island will be hosting special events, cooking demos, and sales throughout the season. Ever growing, the 2019-2020 Winter Market will be home to a bustling community of local growers and food producers, small businesses and artists, shoppers, families, and local musicians gathering over a shared interest in locally grown foods. Throughout the season, the market will feature over 85 new and returning vendors selling an array of local products—from fresh produce, seafood, poultry, meats, and cheeses to baked goods, gluten-free and vegan items, prepared foods, herbal remedies, seasonal flowers and wreaths… and so much more! The Farm Fresh RI Winter Market is located in two spacious hallways of the Hope Artiste Village building at 1005 and 999 Main St., Pawtucket, RI, 02860. The R-Line bus stops at the market’s front door. Multiple parking lots are provided for convenience, and street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Ramp accessibility is located at the 999 Main St entrance and in the building’s center courtyard.

Thanksgiving Raffles in November
Visitors to the Winter Market can take part in two fun raffles this November featuring locally grown and made items donated by market vendors. Tickets will be $5 each and available for purchase at the market every Saturday leading up to Thanksgiving (November 2, 9, 16, and 23). Winners will be announced at noon on November 23.

Turkey Raffle — Participants have a chance to win a ~15 lb. free-range turkey courtesy of Pat’s Pastured in East Greenwich, RI. Pat’s Standard White Turkeys are raised on pasture and fed non-GMO grains. Known for having a generous amount of white breast meat, this turkey will make an excellent centerpiece for your Thanksgiving meal. 

Vegan Thanksgiving Raffle — Participants have a chance to win a vegan basket of Stuffed Shells made with Barrett’s Garden “Fauxcotta,” a 9″ pumpkin or apple crumble pie from Blush Bakeshop, dinner rolls or baguette from Provencal Bakery, and traditional Thanksgiving fixings like mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and a lentil Wellington from Sprout & Lentil!
