South Street Landing Lands National Preservation Award
Congratulations to South Street Landing , one of three recipients of the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation National Preservation Award presented by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Developer CV Properties and their team converted this abandoned power plant on the Providence waterfront into a state-of-the-art nursing education facility for Rhode Island College and the University of Rhode Island, as well as offices for Brown University.
RIHPHC is proud to have played a role in this exciting project over many years, from working with consultants to nominate the building to the National Register to reviewing work funded by a state bond issue and historic preservation tax credits.
Cheers to this dynamo of a project, powering the revitalization of Providence’s Jewelry District
