PROFESSOR NETA CRAWFORD TO SPEAK AT WEAVER LIBRARY

Costs and Consequences of the Post-9/11 Wars at Weaver Library

Boston University’s Dr. Neta Crawford to speak at the Weaver Library

Dr. Neta C. Crawford, Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Boston University, will speak about the costs of the post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the related violence in Pakistan and Syria, on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 7pm at the Weaver Library. A question and answer period will follow the talk.

As Co-Director of the Costs of War Project at Brown University, Dr. Crawford leads a team of 35 scholars, legal experts, human rights practitioners, and physicians who use research and a public website to facilitate debate about the costs of the post-9/11 wars.  Founded in 2011, the project’s aim is to foster democratic discussion of these wars by providing the fullest possible account of their human, economic, and political costs, and to foster better informed public policies.

Weaver Library is located at 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI. This program is free and open to all.
