First ever “Adults Only” Night at Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art!
Saturday, August 10th, 7:30-10:30
Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA), 763 Westminster Street, Providence, RI 02903
Admission $15 per person
Why should kids have all the fun? This Saturday, the Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA) will host adults only (21+) at their first ever RIMOSA After Dark event!
This event encourages adults to tap into their creative side – so come play, create, mix and mingle with snacks, beer/wine and live music. If you are musical, bring an instrument and take advantage of our open mic. Those who are interested can participate in creative design “Chopped Challenges”.
Named after the Food Network series “Chopped”, these challenges will present participants with identical materials and the directive to use all of the materials while completing a task. One RIMOSA Chopped Challenge will involve getting something to fly in our Air Tube while the other will involve crating a Marble Roller Coaster.
The $15 admission will cover 1 drink ticket, while additional tickets can be won through participating in activities.
Parking for the event can be found on the street or in the lot behind RIMOSA (accessible from Dean Street).
There is also a bus stop just 2 blocks away – it is the Cranston/Westminster stop on the Plainfield/Westminster route.
RIMOSA’s mission is to kindle curiosity and encourage experimentation.
RIMOSA offers on-site as well as outreach STEAM programming throughout the state of RI.
The museum maintains a physical space for multi-generational learners to explore, experiment, and create together in a supportive and fun environment.
