CALL FOR ART SUBMISSIONS OPEN

The Rhode Island Health Equity Summit, organized by the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and Art League Rhode Island are co-sponsoring a Call for Art for the 2019 CityMatCH Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conference to be held September 23-25, 2019 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
Artists may submit one piece (2-dimensional only) that focuses on family well-being, childhood development and/or parent and child interaction. The deadline for submission is September 15, 2019.
There is no entry fee for this exhibition.
Artists who intend to submit work should contact Steven Boudreau, Chief Administrative Officer, RIDOH via email at Steven.Boudreau@health.ri.gov as soon as possible.
Artwork selected will be displayed on easels at the Rhode Island Arts and Health Network breakout session titled “Family Well-being and the Arts”.
The breakout session led by Rhode Island Arts and Health Network artists and therapists will focus on how family wellness and parent and child interaction can be strengthened through development of arts-inclusive interventions across the continuum of care and throughout the lifespan. This session will explore how movement, visual arts, music, and storytelling can play a vital role in child development and family well-being.
