DARE DINNER WITH DAISY

DARE PAWTUCKET

Wednesday, August 7th, 5-6 pm

Join us at the George Wiley Center, 32 East Ave. Pawtucket, to learn more about the grassroots organizing and the committees of Direct Action for Rights and Equality (DARE).

Find out about how DARE works on different issues related to housing, prisons and police. Hear from the chair of DARE’s Tenant and Homeowners Association (THA) about their efforts to enact rent stabilization, preserve low-income housing, prevent evictions and fight gentrification.

Followed by a potluck dinner with Daisy (see below), summer interns, and our weekly utility rights meeting. Please share the face book event by clicking here.

Dinner with Daisy & Celebrate GWC Volunteers

Wednesday, August 7th at 6-7 pm

Please come to the GWC to enjoy snacks and bring food to share on Wednesday to welcome back Daisy and to tell volunteers how much we appreciate their essential efforts!

Some of you know Daisy from the important organizing she has done at the George Wiley Center, others may have found out about her family’s struggle as immigrants in our current era.

However, you know Daisy, you are welcome to come to the George Wiley Center to enjoy some light refreshments and to share a potluck style dinner. Don’t worry about bringing anything if you are unable.

Help us recognize some of our summer volunteers and our summer intern Lily! Join us to celebrate the acceptance of George Wiley Center Board members and volunteers, Alex, Kai, Max, Meghan, and Zainab, into new work and academic positions for the fall.
