Online registrations will start on Saturday, August 17th
The Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division will be hosting the 47th Pawtucket Open Tennis Tournament at the Kenney Tennis Courts located in Slater Memorial Park. Matches will begin Friday, September 20th and will continue through Sunday, September 22, if needed.
Divisions for this tournament will include a 3.0-3.5 Singles, a 4.0-4.5 Singles event, in addition to a Doubles Division for men. Women’s divisions will include a Singles and Doubles event. A Mixed Doubles event has also been planned for this year. Fees are $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents, while doubles events are $25 per team. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and may enter for one event only.
Matches start between 5:30 and 6:00 pm during the weekday events with weekend match times starting at 8:00 am. Participants will be called or emailed by Tuesday, September 17th with their respective first match time.
Online registrations will start on Saturday, August 17th and will also continue at the Slater Park Office Monday through Friday 8:30 – 4:30. For those who wish to register online, instructions are available on the City of Pawtucket website at www.pawtucketri.com under the Parks & Recreation tab. Click the tennis icon notation Pawtucket Open. Interested participants can also visit the Slater Park Tennis Facebook page for continuous updates, information or programs related to tennis. The registration deadline is Friday, September 13 by 11:59 pm, with no exceptions. A free t-shirt will be made available for the first 40 entries only.
