Norton Public Library Fall Hours
The Norton Public Library is extending its hours! Starting in September 2019 the library will be open 45 hours per week.
We are excited to offer more access to library services and staff. We will still be open six days a week, opening earlier every day and closing later five days, keeping the consistency you’ve requested.
Effective September 2019, Norton Public Library hours will be:
Monday 9:30-7:30
Tuesday 9:30-7:30
Wednesday 9:30-2:30
Thursday 9:30-7:30
Friday 9:30-2:30
Saturday* 9:30-2:30
(*closed Saturdays in summer)
The library’s extended hours have been made possible by increased funding approved at Town Meeting. This change means the library will be eligible for increased state aid and help us keep up with changing requirements for certification from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC.)
Our long-term goal is to continue to advocate for increased funding so we are able to once again be open 50 hours per week and meet the full state certification mandates set by the MBLC.
