Annoucing FSRI’s annual Celebrate South Providence Community Block Party

Event to support South Providence Families, Arts and Culture
Located at Harriet & Sayles Park (next to Mary E. Fogarty Elementary)
Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) will be holding a Block Party in July in support of local artists and the communities of South Providence. The block party will be on Wednesday July 10th at Harriet & Sayles Park next to Mary E. Fogarty Elementary School (199 Oxford Street, Providence, RI 02905). The event will run from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Click here for directions
The July 10th Block Party will feature music and art by performers and artists from the South Providence community. Performing artists include the Rhode Island Bucket Drummers, Circus Dynamics and DJ Waldy.
Information booths and activities are available thanks in part to our community partners, like: PeaceLove, Clínica Esperanza, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, Providence Children’s Museum, Providence Public Library and many more. Children in attendance will also be able to participate in Touch a Truck with the Providence Fire Department and the Providence Police Department.
In addition to activities and performances, food will be available for families in attendance. Food and drink are served by the Providence Canteen.
The Block Party is open to anyone who wishes to attend and is made possible with funding from the Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism as part of their 2019 Neighborhood Performing Arts Initiative and is also supported by Stop and Shop.
