LTE: FRIENDS OF THE TEN MILE

Good Afternoon,

 G BEN DSC05811

TEN MILE FLOWING FROM DODGEVILLE POND

I wanted to remind everybody that Friends of the Ten Mile will be conducting a small cleanup this coming Sunday June 16, 2019 at 7:30 AM. We will meet at the Attleboro Elks Club Parking Lot on South Main Street in Attleboro and will spend an hour cleaning the woods and river between the Elks and St Stephen’s Cemetery. Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and wear bug spray! It’s that time of year.

I also wanted to share that we have been active with a few area schools. I was invited to speak at Coehlo Middle School a few weeks ago about our group for projects that the students were doing. Some even did a project on our group! Thank you to Laura for allowing us to take part in that. We are talking about continued involvement going forward.

I also wanted to inform everybody that yesterday evening, a group of students and a teacher from Attleboro Community Academy came to Dodge Cemetery for a history/science talk and a small cleanup on the island. They were a great group of young adults and they did a great job! Thank you to Leanne for getting that set up!

It has been a very active year already. Thank you all for your continued support and I look forward to the many more projects to come. I hope to see you Sunday!
