Norton Public Library Event – LEGO Club

 

Join us Thursday, June 13 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Community Room of the Norton Public Library for LEGO Club! Calling all builders! Wouldn’t it be awesome to have hundreds and hundreds of different pieces to choose from for your LEGO creations? Drop in to hang out with friends and build with our huge LEGO collection.

All ages. No registration required.

Norton Public Library Event – Music & Movement

 

Join us on Monday, June 17 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM for Music and Movement in the Community Room of the Norton Public Library. Let’s sing, dance, and move to the groove! Enjoy a variety of fun songs, movement activities, and even musical instruments. Ages 0-5.

Join us Monday, June 17 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the Community Room of the Norton Public Library for Summer Volunteer Signup + Info Session! Summer Reading is right around the corner, and it’s time to select an elite crew of dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers to help with our summer activities, which will run on weekdays from July 8-August 16. This volunteering can count toward your high school graduation requirement!

Norton Public Library Event – Playful Yoga

 

Join Carol Carver in the Community Room of the Norton Public Library on Wednesday June 19th from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM for Playful Yoga, a relaxing activity time for 3.6 to 5-year old’s, which will include yoga poses, movements, breathing exercises, story time, sensory experiences, and an art project. Norton Public Library Event – Pokemon Club

 

Join us at the Norton Public Library on Thursday, June 20th from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM for Norton Library Pokemon Club in the Community Room!

 

Bring your Pokémon decks and trading cards–we will provide Pokémon playing mats. Fun for all ages and experience levels!

New this month: Mason will be offering a clinic for the first half hour of the club! For a $1 donation to the library, kids can learn how to make decks. Please bring at least 15 energy cards (one or two types of energy) to use in the clinic.

 

Participants are welcome to bring peanut-free snacks. Note: We will be playing the Trading Card Game, not the Pokemon video games.

Norton Public Library Event – Summer Volunteer Training

Summer Volunteer Training

 

Join us on Monday June 24th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the Norton Public Library’s Community Room for Summer Volunteer Training. Those who attended a Summer Volunteer Sign + Info Session AND have been accepted as official summer volunteers will attend this training to learn everything they need to know to be effective volunteers and help make a great summer at the library. You may attend either June 24 or June 25.

 

Tasks may include:

 

registering people for the summer reading program

 

teaching people how summer reading works

 

helping people find books

 

preparing craft materials

 

creating book displays

 

creating social media posts

 

decorating for and cleaning up after events

 

setting up and taking down folding chairs and tables

 

assisting the librarian during a large program

 

running drop-in activities at a table in the children’s room

and lots more!

Norton Public Library Event – Junior Friends: Bulletin Board!

Join us Wednesday, June 26th from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM in the Community Room of the Norton Public Library for the Junior Friends Bulletin Board Event! Summer Reading is around the corner – it’s time to decorate the bulletin board and create A Universe of Stories! Junior Friends and official summer volunteers – come help us get ready to blast off into a great summer.

 

Kids and teens from 4th grade-12th grade, come make friends while making a difference in this community service group. Join your Youth Services Librarian, Leah, to take an active role in library programming, promotion, fundraising, and decision-making.

 

Members will have opportunities to help improve the library by decorating the Children’s Room, keeping the children’s and young adult book collections tidy, planning events, contributing to book, music, movie, and video game selection, and more. Peanut-free snacks are welcome, and we’ll provide some, too.

Norton Public Library Event – Balanced Kids Yoga with the Norton MOMS Club

 

Join Miss Kate from Balanced Kids Yoga in the Community Room of the Norton Public Library on Friday, June 28th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM for a fun class combining yoga, music, and reading. For kids ages 3-10 and their grownups. Come move with us!

 

This event is presented by the Norton MOMS Club. If you would like to learn more about the Norton MOMS Club, this is a great opportunity. Open to all–you do not have to be a member (or even a mom) to come to this event.
