Need a cool start to summer? Join us for a concert by the Caraher Brothers Jazz Trio at the Weaver Library on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 7pm.  Performing jazz standards from great Bebop and Modern Jazz composers such as Charlie Parker and Chick Corea, the Trio also features original compositions from both Paul and Justin Caraher.  Evan Magno on upright bass joins Paul on electric and classical guitar and Justin on drums and percussion.

The Rhode Island brothers have toured throughout the northeast and have performed venues such as the Discover Festival in Burlington, Vermont, The International Festival of Art and Ideas in New Haven, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. They have shared the stage with musicians Greg Abate, David Fiuczynski, and Billy Hart.

Evan Magno is an accomplished upright bassist who is highly regarded by Rhode Island jazz legend, Dave Zinno. Evan has been a featured player with the URI jazz band at their last several Newport Jazz Festival appearances.

This concert is free and open to all and will take place in the Champlin Program Room of the library.
