2019 The 6th Annual Season
The East Providence Public Library is pleased to announce that the Weaver Library Farmers’ Market will open its 2019 season on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 4 pm. Back for its 6th season, Opening Day will be a celebration of food, fun, and family entertainment. From 4 pm -7 pm, farmers and food producers will be selling fresh, local, and healthy foods.
2019 brings new vendors including young farmers, a beekeeper, Farm Fresh RI’s Harvest Kitchen, and a soap maker, along with many returning vendors.
Popular cookbook author and RI PBS star of Maria’s Portuguese Table Maria Lawton will be talking with folks and signing books.
What is summer without an outdoor concert? The Market will rock with the sound of RI’s own Superchief Trio. Their combination of swing, R & B, and boogie-woogie just might require dancing shoes.
Thanks to a grant from Farm Fresh RI, SNAP customers can double their SNAP in 2019.
For every dollar a customer swipes with EBT at the market, the customer will get a FREE dollar in Bonus Bucks for buying fruits and vegetables.
Swipe $5; get $5 in Bonus Bucks.
The market also accepts WIC, Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons, cash, and credit or debit cards.
There are so many things to do at your Library this summer. Put the Thursday Farmers’ Market on your calendar and join us each week for food, fun, and family entertainment.
