Eight Thursdays, beginning June 6, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Attleboro Public Library

 

Refreshments served at 6:30, introductory video begins at 6:45, followed by discussion.

 

Join us at the Attleboro Public Library for a civil discussion of 8 timely foreign policy topics:

  • June 6 – Refugees and Global Migration
  • June 13 – The Middle East: Regional Disorder
  • July 11 – Nuclear Negotiations: Back to the Future?
  • July 18 – The Rise of Populism in Europe
  • July 25 – Decoding U.S.-China Trade
  • August 1 – Cyber Conflicts and Geopolitics
  • August 8 – The United States and Mexico: Partnership Tested
  • August 15 – State of the State Department and Diplomacy

No prior knowledge or expertise is required to join the conversation. The only requirement is to read the topic overview in the Great Decisions Briefing Book prior to the weekly meeting.

There is a $32 materials fee for the Briefing Book, if paying by check, please make it payable to the Friends of the Attleboro Library and bring it to the first session. Two Reference copies are available for in-library use for participants who do not wish to purchase their own copy. Partners may share one copy of the book.

The Attleboro Public Library is located at 74 N. Main St., Attleboro, MA and has an extensive collection of books and media for children, teens and adults.

 

Library hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Friday & Saturday, and 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Summer Saturday hours, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. begin on June 29.
