350th Anniversary of the Attleboro’s First Settler, Sunday May 19
Come join the North Attleborough Historical Society in celebrating the 350th Anniversary of John Woodcock; the first to settle in the Rehoboth North Purchase, which is now at the site of the North Attleborough Historical Society.
Travel through time and meet some of the people who lived at or visited the John Woodcock Garrison House.
Hear the tales from John & Nathanial Woodcock, Josiah & Jonathan Maxcy, Israel & Fanny Hatch, George Washington, Madame Knight, the Rehoboth Minutemen and many others.
Re-enactors will bring back to life the various events that have happened on this site since John Woodcock’s time to recent times.
The event takes place on the grounds of the North Attleborough Historical Society, located at 362 N. Washington St., North Attleboro from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19th.
The cost to participate is $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 6-12. Free for children under 6.
Parking and a shuttle bus will be available in the parking lot at 262 Broad Street.
Tickets are available on Saturdays from 9-12 at the Falls Fire barn Museum, May 5, at the Historical Society May Breakfast, or purchase tickets day of the event.
