Security Concepts Opens Doors in Pawtucket 
Pawtucket – Security Concepts, a leading electronic security and building technology company, located at 115 Newport Ave. Pawtucket, held a ribbon cutting ceremony, alongside the City, to mark the opening of the company’s new headquarters.
The new 5,000 sq. foot facility is triple the size of the company’s previous location. It features new, modern office space, equipment storage and a state-of-the-art training center for the company’s 15 employees.
“Pawtucket was a natural choice for our new headquarters because of the proximity to Providence and highways, the business-friendly government, and positive economic development efforts. The history and legacy as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution inspires us, as we work to grow our business here,” said Chris Pratt, owner of Security Concepts.
“We look forward to a strong community partnership with the City, and to supporting the Pawtucket Foundation, Pawtucket Arts Fest, Slater Memorial Park, and Slater Mill Historic Site,” he continued.
Security Concepts has been operating in Rhode Island since the mid-1980s. It combines the service of a family-owned company with the strength of a national company.
Chris Pratt, an Army veteran, attended Bryant University and has spent much of his career growing businesses in Rhode Island prior to acquiring Security Concepts, Rhode Island Alarms and Block Island Alarms in May 2018.
“Rhode Island is a great place to start and grow a business. Our mission is to be the regional leader in integrated security and technology solutions, by providing excellent service, technical expertise, and industry-leading project management,” Pratt said.
The company plans to add 5-6 new employees to their team in 2019.
