LOCAL TRAVEL BOOK 100 THINGS TO DO IN PROVIDENCE BEFORE YOU DIE, 2ND EDITION OFFERS A VARIETY OF WAYS TO EXPLORE THE CITY THIS SPRING
PROVIDENCE, RI—The warmer spring weather means more outdoor activities in the Providence area. Rebecca Keister, author of 100 Things to Do in Providence Before You Die, 2nd Edition, has put together the definitive Providence bucket list, and it’s full of fun things to do in the coming months. Below are some suggested spring activities straight from the book itself:
- Get a taste of the best the state has to offer at the Eat Drink RI Festival, which draws locals and visitors alike in troves to sample the creations of Rhode Island’s top gastronomic masters.
- Enjoy a family day at Roger Williams Park Zoo in the beautiful spring weather. You’ll experience 40 acres of amphibians, birds, bugs, mammals, and so much more.
- Be amazed at Waterfire Providence, a sculptural attraction that is decorated with nearly 100 torch-lit vessels at night. The scene is reminiscent of an old European river city when thousands of visitors and residents stroll Waterplace Park and the Riverwalk to take in the beautiful display.
Rebecca Keister lives and writes in Providence, Rhode Island. A communications professional, she has written about the city’s tourism and hospitality scene extensively, including for the Providence Business News and other regional publications.
