Senator Crowley re-elected as Senate Deputy President Pro Tempore
STATE HOUSE – Sen. Elizabeth A. Crowley (D-Dist. 16, Central Falls, Pawtucket) was re-elected as the Senate Deputy President Pro Tempore by her colleagues in the Senate today at the opening day of the 2019 legislative session.
“It is a true honor to be elected as the Deputy Senate President Pro Tempore and I’d like to thank President Ruggerio, Majority Leader McCaffrey, and the rest of my colleagues in the Senate for their faith in me to execute this post in the chamber for another term,” said Senator Crowley.
The Senate President Pro Tempore presides over the Senate when the Senate President and the Senate President Pro Tempore are unavailable to govern the Senate during session.
