FELLOWSHIP HALL WRENTHAM, MA

SIMON & GARFUNKEL TRIBUTE IN WRENTHAM, NOV. 17

C KEN Swearingen&Kelli-8

The music, memories and magic of Simon & Garfunkel will be recreated by Swearingen & Kelli on Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:00 p.m., at the Original Congregational Church in the center of Wrentham. Broadway World called them ???one of the most talented duos of today playing the music of one the most famous duos of yesterday.???

AJ Swearingen has been performing this music for twenty years with mastery of Paul Simon’s intricate guitar playing. His deep baritone blends perfectly against Jayne Kelli’s angelic vocals, delivering a true tribute to the sound of the 1960’s Greenwich Village, NY coffeehouse performances.

The duo is on a mission to share this iconic music with new audiences around the country. Both artists were inspired by the great singer-songwriters of the past like Paul Simon, James Taylor, Carole King, Jim Croce and The Eagles among others. The duo has also been performing and writing music together since 2010, debuting their first self-titled album in 2013. Folk icon Tom Rush recorded and released their song, “You’re Not Here With Me” on his last studio release.

After a successful release of their most-recent album ???The Marrying Kind??? last summer, Americana duo Swearingen and Kelli have been crisscrossing the country coast-to-coast on repeated tour runs, and finally made the move to become permanent residents of Nashville, TN. Mother Church Pew describes the singer-songwriting duo as the “delicious blend of Swearingen???s smooth baritone and Kelli???s smoky vocals…inspired by great songwriters of the ’60s and ’70s”. The pair also got to perform their title track ballad, “The Marrying Kind”, with dramatic performances by The Cleveland Orchestra, The Stockton Symphony and The Buffalo Philharmonic.
