Ribbon Cutting Welcoming United Regional Chamber of Commerce Member??MRN Diagnostics
Plainville, MA: More than 100 people braved the torrential rain for the United Regional Chamber of Commerce???s ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 6 welcoming MRN Diagnostics, 101 Constitution Boulevard in Franklin to the chamber and to the community.
CEO and CSO Dr. Gregory Chiklis welcomed the group and thanked his family, colleagues, and staff for the support he received while building his new facility. He also singled out Jeff Nutting from the Town for Franklin for the town???s support.
Chiklis said that MRN is conducting research and developing products for diagnostic development, manufacturing, and commercialization to assure that patients receive accurate tests when they go to their doctors.
State Rep Jeff Roy presented Chiklis and CFO and COO Robert McKie with a citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives, saying that Franklin is recognized for life sciences and that MRN Diagnostics will be a welcome addition. He also noted that Greg Chiklis donated the equipment for the lab spaces at Franklin High School and said that the town is very appreciative.
Senior Constituent Director Lisa Nelson from Congressman Joe Kennedy???s office also presented Chiklis and McKie with a citation. She said that Congressman Kennedy says that while some people think manufacturing is dead, it really is now. It is different now. Manufacturing is conducted in clean facilities like the one at MRN Diagnostics. And manufacturing is flourishing in the Franklin area. She complimented Chiklis, saying that the facility is a tribute to his work and reputation.
Also attending the ribbon cutting were President Paula Rooney and Dean Jerry Shaw of Dean College and Jeff Nutting from the Town of Franklin.
