This month???s title is a nominee for the 2018 RI Children???s Book Award, an annual award given to the author of a book chosen by Rhode Island children, grades 3-5, as their favorite.

Participating in the Book Club for Kids program at the Pawtucket Public Library helps young readers meet the criteria for voting for the award in February 2018.

This month’s RICBA nominated book is The Eureka Key (Secrets of the Seven #1) by Sarah L. Thomson.

The first 15 kids to register at the library will receive a free hardcover copy of the book.

Sam (a puzzle master) and Martina (a history whiz) become involved in a dangerous quest to find seven keys left behind by Benjamin Franklin and a secret society of descendants.

When the seven keys are gathered together, they unlock a powerful weapon.

The middle schoolers must solve the puzzles, find the artifacts before??the bad guy does, and save the nation.

Once the reader is signed up and has the book, he or she can read it on their own or with someone else. All the readers are invited to attend the Book Club for Kids program on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00am in the Children???s Caidin Room to talk about favorite parts and play trivia games.
