Check out the Governor’s weekly video address here, and share it with your friends.
This season is a special time to celebrate and enjoy the company of family and friends. But for many Rhode Islanders, feelings of loss, isolation and stress are amplified during the holidays. According to the National Alliance of Mental Health, as many as two out of three people feel the ‘Holiday Blues.’
Governor Raimondo urges Rhode Islanders to check on their neighbors, especially those who have recently suffered the loss of a loved one. For tips on how to celebrate the holidays safely, visit www.health.ri.gov.

Hi everyone!
The State House Christmas Tree is lit, local shops are staying open late and the annual URI-PC basketball game???which for many of us is the official tip off of the holidays???had us on the edge of our seat.
Andy and I hope you have a wonderful holiday, and the chance to celebrate with family and friends. But at the same time, look out for your neighbors and friends who may feel left out or down at this time of year.
The holidays are a special time of year to celebrate and enjoy the company of the people we love. But for many of us, this can be a difficult time of year. In fact, the National Alliance of Mental Illness reports that as many as two out of three people feel the ???Holiday Blues.??? This can be sparked by a sense of loss and isolation if we???re celebrating this year after a loved one has passed on. Other folks are overwhelmed by the stress of the season.
So, take some time in the days and weeks to come to be a good neighbor or call a friend. But also take time for yourself. For tips to celebrate and avoid the ???Holiday Blues,??? visit Health.RI.gov.
Thanks. Have a great weekend and happy, happy holidays.
