Honoring Our Nation’s Veterans
PROVIDENCE, RI -??Governor Raimondo??Saturday released the following statement in honor of Veteran’s Day:
“On Veterans Day, we take a moment to say thanks to the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protect our nation and the values that bring us together.
My grandfather and father wore the uniform, and their experience helped shape our family values. We owe every veteran, and every military family, an enormous debt.
I am proud that we come together as a state to honor the service and sacrifice our veterans make.
Through our Office of Veterans Affairs, we are connecting veterans with job training and job placement services, and under Director Kasim Yarn’s leadership, we are providing support for veterans transitioning into civilian life.
I will always be in awe of the men and women like my dad and grandfather who answer the call to serve and wear our nation’s uniform.”
