More than 200 Rhode Island animal welfare professionals to receive shelter and rescue training
More than 200 animal shelter and rescue personnel, volunteers and advocates across Rhode Island will receive free training and resources from The Humane Society of the United States.
The training aims to address common issues faced by the more than 100 animal welfare organizations across The Ocean State. Experts from The HSUS will present information on ways shelters and rescues can increase adoptions through innovative practices, network and collaborate to save more lives and share skills, and ways to increase humane strategies for Rhode Island???s community cats.
For this effort, The HSUS is collaborating with Ocean State Animal Coalition, Rhode Island SPCA and Tomahawk Live Trap.
