Two Tiverton Craftsmen Selected to Exhibit

RHODE ISLAND (November 2, 2017) KL Communications is pleased to announce that two craftsmen from Tiverton, Rhode Island will exhibit in the 22nd Annual Fine Furnishings Show, November 3-5, 2017 at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center.

Stephen Kinnane, Sakonnet Furniture Makers ??? Tiverton, RI

Stephen Kinnane founded Sakonnet Furniture Makers Inc. in 2010 after completing a two-year course at Boston’s prestigious North Bennet Street School of Traditional Craft.

Since then, Sakonnet Woodworking has been designing and making furniture for a variety of residential and commercial properties in New England (and beyond).?? At Sakonnet Furniture Makers we are dedicated to excellence in the art of classical woodworking and take great pride in creating furniture for our clients who value the art of traditional craftsmanship.

Full size, hand drafted drawings of each piece are completed before beginning construction, guaranteeing precise dimensions and eliminating any potential joinery problems.?? We use only time-tested joinery techniques, ensuring that the integrity and specifications of each piece are never compromised.

At Sakonnet Woodworking we are passionate about preserving the legacy of traditional craftsmanship and our standard of work strives to provide a better understanding for the value of heirloom quality furniture that will not only last a lifetime but will be used, enjoyed and shared throughout generations.

Andrew’s passion for the sea and building go hand in hand. Having grown up on and around boats all over the world, Andrew’s love for the sea, classic wooden boats, and adventure started at a young age. Not long after a 10 year career as a climbing guide for NOLS and various outfitters, Andrew followed his passion for building and boats at the International Yacht Restoration School (IYRS) in Newport, Rhode Island.??

Since then he has helped restore renowned yachts in New England for over 10 years, namely the 1913 Herreshoff NY50??Spartan??at the acclaimed MP&G. After 4 years serving as??Spartan’s??captain, Andrew returned to his original passion for building and creating with the start of AC Grayling, LLC.??

Andrew now lives in Tiverton, Rhode Island with his wife, Maria and their dog Moose.
