The Big Sick to be shown at the Weaver Library
The Big Sick, a film described as engaging, edgy, and hilarious, will be shown at the Weaver Library on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 6:30pm.
Kumail, a Pakistani comic, meets Emily at one of his stand-up shows. As their relationship blossoms, an illness leaves Emily in a coma.?? Kumail tries to balance the wishes of his traditional Muslim parents and his bond to Emily and her parents. ??The Big Sick is??based on the true story of its married co-writers: standup and actor Kumail Nanjiani and comedy writer-producer Emily V. Gordon.
