Silent auction of plein-air paintings to benefit Cape Cod???s community radio station
Provincetown, MA, September 12, 2017: Community radio station WOMR today announced a fine art silent fundraising auction for WOMR, to take place on September 22nd from 3-9 pm at the Schoolhouse Center for the Arts at 494 Commercial St. in Provincetown.
All of the works are donated by local plein-air artist Francesco di Santis, who has painted on the Outer Cape since 2002 using his own hand-ground oils. The exhibit will include Cape School-influenced pieces and others ???flagrantly eluding genre,??? says the artist, who is ???possibly looking at making this kind of fundraiser for Outer Cape-based non-profits an annual tradition.???
???We???re very excited about this show and auction. We???re a local community radio station receiving support by the work of a local artist???it???s an example of the community truly coming together,??? says John Braden, executive director of WOMR.
Viewing begins at 3:00 pm and bidding ends at 9:00. Bidders and the general public can see what to expect at
