September 18th North Attleborough Historical Society Meeting
The North Attleborough Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Monday, September 18th at 7 PM at the Little Red Schoolhouse.??
The Society invites you to join them for a talk about Cardi’s Furniture.??
In 1901, Dominic and Rosa Cardi (Nick, Ron and Pete???s grandparents) left the Italian town of Itri and arrived in America, where they settled in the Knightsville section of Cranston.
In 1928, Rosa opened a general store which will eventually became Cardi???s Furniture.??
Peter Cardi, a third-generation grandson, will visit to tell us of his grandparents and the evolution of the furniture store chain.
The meeting takes place in the Little Red Schoolhouse next door to the Woodcock Garrison House at 362 North Washington Street in North Attleborough.??
Refreshments will be served following the presentation and a plant donated by Brigg’s Nursery will be raffled.??
This meeting is free and open to the public.
