AIMEE ROBINSON

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (Aug. 23, 2017) ??? Aimee Robinson, a licensed practical nurse and unit coordinator at Life Care Center of Attleboro, received Life Care Centers of America???s Northeast Division Whatever It Takes And Then Some Award on Aug. 16 for her dedication to customer service.

Executives from Life Care awarded Robinson a $1,000 cash prize during an awards ceremony at the company???s headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was chosen from among thousands of associates in the Northeast Division and was one of only eight associates from Life Care???s more than 200 facilities nationwide to receive the award.

While Robinson does her job well daily, she was particularly praised for a special act of caring in 2016.

A patient came to the facility for rehab, and while she was a resident, the building she had been living in was condemned. Robinson worked with the social services department to connect the patient with elderly housing, and she spent some of her own time off helping the patient find an apartment, sign papers and move in. Robinson even bought some of the patient???s supplies for her new home with her own money.

???This award means a lot to me,?????? said Robinson. ???When I became a nurse, I decided I wanted to help people and do more than just give medication. My patient had nobody, and I wanted to help her reach her goal.???

Life Care Centers of America???s Whatever It Takes And Then Some program rewards associates for extraordinary acts of kindness. Monthly awards are presented in Life Care facilities nationwide based on nominations from fellow associates, family members, residents and guests. Each facility then chooses an annual winner, from which the divisional winners are selected.

???Dedicated caregivers routinely go far above and beyond their job descriptions, and Aimee Robinson certainly demonstrates by her example their professionalism and compassion for the residents they serve,??? said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. ???We are proud of Aimee and the thousands she represents in their selfless approach to the needs of others.???
